      At the Monastery of the Protection of the Mother of God, in Solan, France, a Dependency of the Monastery of Simonos Petras on Mount Athos, the sisters harvest and shell the nuts to prepare and package the exceptional chestnut jam in their modern workshop. Owing to its high nutritional value, this unique jam is recommended as a nourishing breakfast when fasting, as well as a natural ingredient for desserts.
